Creative Marketing Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

Emerge Education has an immediate opening on our growing team for a Creative Marketing Manager. The Creative Marketing Manager reports to the Director of Marketing.  This person is responsible for executing and contributing to the marketing plans and the tactical marketing functions of the organization, as developed by the Vice President and Director of Marketing. This includes implementing and contributing to the creative marketing strategies that aid in the growth of the organization by developing world-class marketing campaigns and creative assets to represent Emerge’s educational clients.  

 

The ideal candidate will have experience developing digital and non-digital marketing assets that generate campaign results.  These assets will be leveraged across social, email, display advertising, direct mail, print and other digital/non-digital campaigns.  Key requirements include strong graphic design experience, an eye for creative detail in building all sorts of creative assets.  A strong collaborative work style, ability to build assets that follow strict brand guidelines of clients, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage the pressures of a fast paced, goal-oriented online marketing environment.

The Creative Marketing Manager reports directly to the Director of Marketing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Experience working with multiple brands/clients simultaneously
  • Leverage graphic design expertise in the Adobe Creative/Cloud Suite; namely InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator to build and deliver effective creative materials across a diverse spectrum
  • Develop and collaborate with team on innovative display banner ads, and social ads in Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and other platforms that drive strong performance
  • Develop strong email templates, landing pages, and other website content that delivers strong results
  • Design layout of non-digital advertisements, white paper/research papers, logo creation, brochures, and other materials as needed  
  • Manage photography throughout all digital and non-digital assets; be able to select imagery that aligns with targeted audience and generates impact
  • Leverage Google and other analytics tools to measure and build and enhance effective marketing campaigns
  • Create/update and write website and other material content as part of campaigns
  • Regularly update and publish web content to a CMS
  • Execute Emerge Education’s social media strategies through ads and social media posting management
  • Understand, follow and align all creative output to match client brand guidelines
  • Manage relationships with third-party media, advertising and production vendors 
  • Willing to roll-up-your sleeves and offer solutions and take on tasks that drive successful campaigns and deliver planned marketing outcomes
  • Perform other marketing duties as assigned by the Director of Marketing

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative/Cloud Suite (or equivalent) design tools with strong eye for graphical layout/design
  • Experience working with multiple brands/clients simultaneously
  • Ability to manage simultaneous project deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills 
  • Experience developing and executing strategic marketing campaigns utilizing both digital and non-digital marketing channels including website/content, email, event materials and social media
  • Experience with video editing/production tools and software
  • Solid understanding of design layout practices and advertising standards
  • Strong understanding of and interest in display ad management, search engine optimization, and inbound marketing strategies 
  • Solid understanding of social media advertising and posting strategies
  • Proven ability to collaborate, build consensus and work effectively across departments; including receiving and expecting feedback from client colleges/universities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communication or related discipline 
  • Five to seven years of digital/non-digital marketing experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with MailChimp, Pardot or other automated email marketing tools preferred
  • Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, Graphic Design or related discipline
  • Working experience in higher education sector
  • Knowledge of HootSuite or another social media management tool
